Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Postdoctoral Researcher in Bio-Inspired Regenerative Medicine, Tissue Engineering and 3D Bioprinting
Offer Description
About the project  We are seeking a highly motivated researcher to join a multidisciplinary project focused on the development of advanced bio‑inspired regenerative medicine strategies and disease modelling. The project will combine induced pluripotent stem cells, cell differentiation, 3D culture systems, biomaterials, bioengineered scaffolds, and 3D bioprinting approaches to investigate disease mechanisms and develop innovative therapeutic strategies.

The successful candidate will work in a dynamic and multidisciplinary research environment with expertise in stem cell and molecular biology, tissue engineering, 3D cell culture, organoid generation, biomaterials, bio‑inspired and biomimetic engineering, and 3D bioprinting.

Key responsibilities

Development and optimization of 3D in vitro models, including organoids, scaffold‑based systems, and 3D bioprinted constructs.

Design and implementation of bio‑inspired and biomimetic strategies for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications.

Molecular, phenotypic and functional characterization of cells and engineered tissues.

Analysis of cell–matrix and cell–cell interactions in physiologically relevant microenvironments.

Contribution to experimental planning, data analysis, manuscript preparation and project reporting.

Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including biologists, engineers and clinicians.

Candidate profile
Education  The ideal candidate holds a PhD in Biology, Biotechnology, Bioengineering or a related discipline.

Previous experience in one or more of the following areas will be considered an advantage:

Primary mammalian cell culture and animal handling.

Human iPSC culture and differentiation.

Cardiac, skeletal muscle or neural cell biology.

3D cell culture, organoids, tissue engineering and/or 3D bioprinting.

Biomaterials, hydrogels or scaffold‑based systems.

Bio‑inspired or biomimetic approaches for tissue engineering.

Molecular biology, immunofluorescence, confocal microscopy and functional assays.

Advanced knowledge of image processing and optical microscopy, including confocal microscopy.

Strong communication and presentation skills.

A track record of high‑quality publications and excellent scientific writing skills is essential.
