Position: Evaluation Officer (Impact Evaluations)
Experteer Overview As Evaluation Officer (Impact Evaluations) you design and lead rigorous impact evaluations of complex projects to strengthen results accountability and learning  will work within the Office of Evaluation (OED) with multidisciplinary teams and partners to translate findings into strategic action. The role emphasizes applying experimental and quasi-experimental methods, analyzing data, and communicating insights to diverse audiences. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to shape evidence-based decision making across FAO’s portfolios.

Retribuzione / Benefits Participates in multidisciplinary evaluation teams with internal and external partners

Designs and leads impact evaluations using experimental and quasi-experimental designs (RCTs, regression discontinuity, propensity score matching)
Conducts rigorous analysis of qualitative and quantitative data and prepares evaluation reports

Presents findings and recommendations to relevant audiences

Promotes use of evaluation findings in strategy, programme, and project design

Liaises with other FAO units to foster results-based evaluation culture and learning

Keeps abreast of methodological developments in evaluation

Mentors junior evaluation officers and consultants

Performs other duties as required

Responsabilità

Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in social science or evaluation with a focus on research and evaluation methods

Seven years of demonstrated work experience conducting impact evaluations

Working knowledge of English and intermediate knowledge of another FAO official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish)
