YOUR TEAM
The Nanotechnologies for Neurosciences (N4N) Research Unit, coordinated by Prof. Giancarlo Ruocco, is seeking to appoint a Scientific Project Manager that will have a key research role on planning, managing, monitoring and implementing all the activities.

You will work closely to the scientists to help them to carry out their scientific activity, interact with stakeholders, acquire funds and manage external communications and dissemination.

Your main responsibilities will be:

Controlling the overall working plan of the project and monitoring its proper implementation in terms of deliverables, milestones and implementation of Work Packages objectives

Supporting the Principal Investigator in monitoring the scientific tasks of the projects, their implementation and their accomplishment according to its Technical Annex

Monitoring the scientific, technical and financial advancement and, if necessary, supporting the Principal Investigator for proposing modification and new solution to make the project more effective

Collecting, reviewing and submitting technical and financial reports

Preparing the meetings (proposing decisions and preparing the agenda, preparing the minutes of the meetings) and monitoring the implementation of decisions taken at meetings

Supervising and managing of communication and dissemination activities, exploitation plan and activities foreseen

Supporting the redaction of data management planning, supervising and managing of the activities foreseen

Supporting in management of Intellectual Property Rights issues (including managing rules foreseen in the Consortium Agreement)

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Master’s Degree in scientific disciplines

At least three years of post‑graduate experience in scientific research

Good communications skills

Good competence in problem solving

Good competence in information search

Familiarity with the main IT software packages, including Word and Excel

Cooperative approach with the stakeholders

Accuracy and good analytical skills

Good command of spoken and written English

ADDITIONAL SKILLS

PhD in a scientific discipline

Experience in the field of reporting and data analysis

Experience in the field of communication, particularly in dissemination activities

High motivation to learn

Spirit of innovation and creativity

Good at time and priority management

Ability to work in a challenging and international environment

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment

COMPENSATION PACKAGE

A yearly gross salary of 32,000€ (on a 75% part-time schedule) + MBO

Candidates from abroad or Italian citizens who have carried scientific research activity permanently abroad and meet specific requirements, may be entitled to a deduction from taxable income of up to 90% from 6 to 13 years.

This open position is financed by the project "ROAD
- Retina Observation for Alzheimer Diagnostic" CUP J53C, granted by the Italian Fund for Applied Sciences (FISA) of the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR), through the Directorate Decree No. 7153 of 17/04/2025.
