Offer Description  The candidate must meet the requirements consistent with the academic discipline MEDS-03/A and will carry out research activities in the field of basic, applied, and translational microbiology, with particular focus on the study of host–microorganism interactions in infectious processes and microbial adaptation and persistence mechanisms. Research activities will include the development of experimental models for the evaluation of innovative approaches to infection control, including the use of bioactive compounds, biomaterials, antimicrobial peptides, and advanced delivery systems.

Phenotypic and molecular methodologies for the characterization of microorganisms and their biological properties, will also be of interest. The candidate will also be required to perform frontal and supplementary teaching activities within the academic discipline Microbiology and Clinical Microbiology in the Degree Courses of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, as well as tutoring students.
