We are looking for a Transport Yard Assistant to join our team.
The Transport Yard Assistant is responsible for assisting the transport department and the ongoing upkeep and cleanliness of the Transport Yard area including all transport vehicles, trailers and equipment. Position:
Transport Yard Assistant.
Location:
Roma Depot.
Work Hours:
Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities Assisting with loading/unloading trucks and trailers
Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of the transport yard area
Washing Wild Desert transport trucks and trailers and basic mechanical duties including greasing and tyre changing
Organising manifests and weed and seed declarations
Refuelling vehicles
Conduct daily pre starts and inspections of trucks and trailers
Support drivers and operations staff as needed
Requirements HR driver's licence with an interest in obtaining an MC licence
Front‑end loader and forklift licence (desired)
Previous experience in a similar role
Ability to work independently in an exciting, fast‑paced environment
Proactive and able to prioritise tasks effectively
Commitment to workplace health and safety compliance
