Hospitalist Physician

Rome Health Hospital, a trusted healthcare provider in Central New York, is seeking a full-time Hospitalist (MD or DO) to join a well-supported inpatient team. This is a rewarding opportunity to practice in a community-focused setting with a manageable patient load and excellent sub-specialty support.

• Provide inpatient care in a 7 on / 7 off schedule (7 AM 7 PM)
• Make daily rounds on assigned patients (average per physician)
• Admit patients and manage rapid responses/codes
• Collaborate with intensivists in an open ICU setting with 24/7 consultation available
• Conduct patient assessments, histories, physicals, and documentation using Paragon EMR
• Coordinate with attending physicians, specialists, and hospital staff to ensure high-quality care
• Participate in a hospitalist team managing patients per day collectively
• No on-call duties
• Work in a non-trauma designated hospital with strong infrastructure
• BE accepted if a new graduate
• Must be Board Certified within 2 years of contract start
• Not accepting Locums candidates
• Not accepting Visa Candidates
• 1099 candidates NOT accepted

• Truly Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• New York medical license or willingness to obtain
• Clean malpractice and license history
• DEA, BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
• Must be open to full-time, 7 on/7 off schedule
• Must be comfortable working in an open ICU with intensivist support

• Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Must finish residency for new graduates
• Must be Board Certified within 2 years of contract start
