RPPC Supervisor Role overview

Serve as RPPC's senior hands-on employee and the Supervisor's second-in-command. Lead by example, help direct daily work, and support less-experienced associates. When the Supervisor is absent, including during extended vacations, take responsibility for the department's day-to-day operation. Neither the Lead nor the Supervisor has hiring or termination authority.

Responsibilities Perform receiving, putaway, picking, cycle counts, and location-maintenance work. Demonstrate consistent methods and maintain practical knowledge across the department rather than specializing in only one task.

Carry out the Supervisor's priorities, communicate assignments, and guide associates toward work needing attention. Help coordinate the morning picking workload and the later transition to receiving and shelving.

Train newer employees, answer practical questions, and help correct routine mistakes. Bring recurring training needs or performance concerns to the Supervisor rather than allowing them to continue unnoticed.

Help investigate missing products, incorrect locations, count differences, and receiving or picking discrepancies. Coordinate with Shipping on order exceptions and escalate issues beyond the role's authority.

Run daily assignments, monitor progress and accuracy, and coordinate with other teams during Supervisor absences. Keep the Warehouse GM informed of issues requiring management support and prioritize team direction when necessary.
