Job Purpose

The position reports to the Co-Pack/Retail Fulfillment Manager. Responsibilities include managing shift staff, conducting performance reviews, overseeing computer entry work, and ensuring all paperwork flows correctly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assign work tasks to all warehouse staff, considering customer specifications.
  • Monitor shipment quality and accuracy, updating staff on any changes.
  • Communicate with customers and respond to inquiries, implementing required actions.
  • Ensure safety, training, and development of employees, drivers, and contractors per OSHA and RJW policies.
  • Oversee data entry, checking for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Approve shift employee timesheets for weekly payroll, manage overtime, and maintain accurate records.
  • Perform daily building checks, notify the manager of any issues, and assist with preventive maintenance.
  • Enforce AIB processes, procedures, and guidelines for food product handling.
  • Ensure completion of checklists for building, equipment, and safety, as per SOP.
  • Issue corrective actions or work orders to address issues.
  • Handle accident reporting, care of injured employees, and HR notifications of emergencies.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the Co-Pack manager.
Qualifications and Experience Required
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience or training in co-pack.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience or training in a warehouse environment.
  • Experience with WMS software (Synapse preferred).
  • PC literacy with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access Database.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to physically count products on shelves, racks, and pallets.
Language Skills
  • Effective communication in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Ability to analyze and interpret general business, professional, and technical documents.
  • Capability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.

Skills – Technical and Physical
  • Mathematical:
    Add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute rates, ratios, percentages, interpret bar graphs.
  • Reasoning:
    Solve practical problems, interpret instructions, determine root cause, propose corrective action.
  • Computer:
    Knowledge of business operating systems, internet software, word processing, spreadsheets; familiarity with labeling software (Nice Label, Bartender) is a plus.
  • Physical:
    Occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use phone keyboards, speak in front of groups, sit for repetitive motions, work >8 continuous hours when required, maintain concentration under stress, 20/20 corrected vision.
Work Environment

Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and noise ranging from quiet to moderately loud.
