The Inventory Control Lead is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of workers concerned with inventorying materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts in a stockroom, warehouse, or yard.

• Maintain layout of stockroom, warehouse, and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and other factors.
• Study records and recommend remedial actions for non‑usable, slow‑moving, or excess stock.
• Review records for accuracy and compliance with established procedures, and assess adequacy of stock levels.
• Schedule work for special and periodic inventories.
• Prepare composite reports from individual reports of Inventory Specialists.
• Trace history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommend actions to resolve them.
• Issue written or oral instructions and expedite workflow with team members.
• Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by manager.

• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Physically count articles or products on shelves, racks, and pallets.
• Use a computer terminal to properly account for inventory issues, returns, and documentation.

• Minimum 2 years related experience and/or training in Inventory Control.
• Minimum 1‑2 years related experience and/or training in a warehouse environment.
• Experience operating a forklift and a cherry picker/high lift.
• Experience using WMS software (Synapse preferred).
• Working knowledge of Inventory Control practices, KPI reporting, cycle‑count coordination, and product rotation.
• PC literacy with experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access.

• High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write reports and correspondence.
• Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks, and pallets.

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.
