Description Overview
In the Technician role, you will be responsible for mold changes, preventive maintenance (PM), service work, and supporting the processing and troubleshooting of all Blow Molding/Injection Molding and support machines. You will also support process improvement and new technology initiatives to achieve profitability, safety, and ergonomics, and assist the Chief Engineer and management team with assigned projects.
Essential Responsibilities- Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
- Adhere to instructions, Good Manufacturing Practices, and housekeeping procedures.
- Start up and shut down machines.
- Clean and service machines.
- Change molds and set up production equipment.
- Setup and service peripheral equipment.
- Clean and service molds and machine parts.
- Replace and repair parts.
- Assist in machine installation.
- Assist process/maintenance technicians.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience with blow molding/injection machines is desired.
- Technical training in the blow/injection molding process is preferred.
- Minimum two years of machine operation and adjustment experience.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, identify and address problems, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Proficient English reading, writing, and communication.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Can work with minimal supervision and effectively both independently and in a team.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment and obtain forklift certification within 60 days.
- Commitment to the success of the organization.
- Mechanical abilities are a plus.
- Understand and comply with OSHA safety rules/regulations and Lock‑out/Tag‑out requirements.
- Stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- Lift and carry up to 85 lbs.
- Push, pull, twist, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crawl.
- Perform repetitive motions such as reaching and grasping.
- Reach up to 7 feet (84 inches).
- Work in a warehouse environment with temperature variations.
- Work fast‑paced timing.
