Production Assistant - 2nd ShiftRegular Full-Time Romeoville, IL, US
Salary Range: $22.00 To $24.00 Hourly

Responsible for ensuring parts are made to customer prints and specifications by monitoring CNC Laser equipment, performing quality inspections and correcting machine issues that affect the quality of the parts with direction from Leads and Operators.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Monitors production equipment on the shop floor with the guidance of operators and warehouse leads.
Interprets information in the work order routers to set up equipment to produce quality parts with guidance from leads and other operators.
Lift and package finished goods according to packaging instruction or best methods.
Perform some light maintenance under supervision from leads and other operators.
Maintain a clean workspace throughout the entire work center.
Accurately record raw material consumption and returns to stock on the appropriate documents and ERP fields
Complete first ever productions under supervision of the leads and other operators.
Report maintenance issues to warehouse leads.
Load and unload raw material into machines via the use of overhead gantry cranes.
Inform material handlers of future raw material requirements for prestaging.
Communicate any production issues that were experienced throughout the day to the incoming operator or production assistant at shift hand off.
Requirements:- A High School education is required. Technical training/associate’s degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant work/manufacturing environment experience.
- Ability to read blueprints, caliper, and tape measure.
- Basic computer skills are adequate.
- This position works in a production environment with the risk of injury.
- Proper PPE equipment must be worn when working with equipment in the shop.
- Standing 8-10 hours a day, bending, lifting and pushing up to 60 pounds is required.
- Exposed to hot and cold weather, loud noise, and vibration.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
