Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated Certified School Nurse to join a supportive school district near Romeoville, Illinois for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a full‑time, in‑person opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health and well‑being of students in a school setting.

- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Nurse Endorsement preferred
- Illinois Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential preferred
- Candidates who hold a BSN and Illinois RN license but are not currently Certified School Nurses are encouraged to apply
- Must be willing to obtain IEP Designee Approval as soon as possible and commit to the position long‑term
- BSN‑prepared nurses must be willing to secure a Short‑Term Approval for School Nurse during the current school year
- Commitment to pursuing a PEL with School Nurse Endorsement through an approved program (such as Illinois State University, University of Illinois Chicago, or Lewis University) is required for non‑CSN candidates
- Ideal candidates will work toward becoming a Certified School Nurse within 1-2 years
- Previous school‑based experience preferred, but not required
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
We are seeking a nurse who is committed to building a long‑term career in school nursing. The ideal candidate will be eager to obtain IEP Designee Approval quickly and, if not already a Certified School Nurse, will actively pursue the necessary credentials to earn a PEL with School Nurse Endorsement and become a Certified School Nurse within the next 1-2 years.
