Account Manager

This is an opportunity to join Apex Industrial Automation, the leading Independent Distributor in the Chicagoland Area. We also offer our customers a full suite of value-added services, including Motor, Gearbox, Pump, and Servo Repair. Apex has a UL-certified Custom Control Panel Fabrication shop and offers our customers mechanical and electrical field services.

As an Account Manager, you'll spend time interacting directly with existing customers and seeking out new ones. You will be their problem-solver, trusted advisor, and technical expert in the applications of our products and services.

What You'll Do

• Establish and expand relationships with customers using multiple techniques, including regular sales calls, cold-calling, industry networking, customer recommendations, etc., to drive aggressive closure of all available opportunities.
• Conduct sales and service activities, identify product applications, and introduce new products and services.
• Strategic, adaptable, and intuitive in your approach to managing your sales territory.
• Maintain sales records and pipeline reporting.

We Seek

• Must reside in the Northern Illinois region.
• 5-10 years of industrial sales or support experience
• Proven success in developing new business, building repeat business, and managing a sales territory.
• Strong technical/mechanical background.
• Confident & results-oriented with a strong desire to close sales.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree/Equivalent experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
