Brief Description

Do you have a background in industrial sales? Have you sold into the metals industry? Does working for a family owned company that puts people first interest you? If so, we have the opportunity for you here at Mazzella! You will be responsible for expanding Mazzella Companies’ business with existing, and new customers, in the Metals Segment (Hot Metal Handling and Processing) by driving high growth targets through negotiations, and collaboration with other key Mazzella business unit team members.

Your metals market acumen, and tenacity, will allow you to grow sales within current accounts and help you acquire new accounts.

Requirements

  • Be the Mazzella Metals Team “Subject Matter Expert” for sales and marketing efforts
  • Become a trusted advisor to steel producers, aluminum mills, and key prospects
  • Nurture/Expand an established national customer base throughout the customer’s lifecycle
  • Identify high potential growth targets ($100K + in annual incremental sales)
  • Sell all products/services by increasing product knowledge and brand awareness for retail/corporate accounts
  • Develop effective sales plans/business strategies to meet monthly sales goals
  • Suggest innovative solutions that meet customer needs
  • Negotiate master service agreements in accordance with Mazzella’s commercial margin expectations
  • Be a They Ask, You Answer Methodology practitioner (book by Marcus Sheridan, its a great read!)
  • Perform other associated duties as directed or required

Summary

Education

Undergraduate degree from an accredited college/university with a focus in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Economics, Marketing, or related discipline. In the absence of a degree, directly related experience in an industrial sales role where several years, and proven knowledge, may offset the degree requirement.

Required

  • Ten plus years of account sales management in a metals segment, distribution, or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to drive time bound results that meet/exceed established product sales goals
  • Evidenced ability to communicate, and sell, to all levels of an organization
  • A proven track record of building/maintaining effective customer relationships
  • Evidenced analytical, conceptual, and planning skills
  • Proven math and technology acumen
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and have a safety record that meets company requirements
  • Able to lift/pull a minimum of 50 pounds

Preferred

  • Prior experience utilizing a Customer Relationship Management system (CRM).
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Retail selling experience.
  • Steel Mill sales experience.
  • Must successfully complete a criminal background check, physical, drug screen and E-verify.
