Position Description

Ryder is immediately hiring Permanent Full Time Forklift Operators in Romeoville, Illinois.

Warehouse Forklift Operator / Driver Position

• Hourly Pay: $23.00 per hour
• Shift Pay: $3.00 per hour
• Schedule:
  
  Wednesday night 11:55 pm – 6:00 am;
  Thursday – Saturday 6:00 pm – 6:00 am

Products being handled:
Paper products.

Equipment:
Stand‑up forklifts.

• Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, cycle counting.
• Accurate picking, packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, loading and unloading of trucks.
• Manage day‑to‑day paperwork in a warehouse environment (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hour of production.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience (preferred).
• Valid forklift operator license (certified).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Highly thorough, dependable, punctual, good attendance.
• High level of accuracy, even under pressure.
• Capacity to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Availability for flexible schedule and various work shifts.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices.
