Position: Material Handler (EPJ/Reach) - All Shifts!

Available Shifts

• A Shift, Monday - Thursday / 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM ($18/hr)
• B Shift, Wednesday - Saturday / 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM ($19/hr)
• D Shift, Tuesday - Friday / 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM ($20/hr)
• E Shift, Sunday - Wednesday / 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM ($21/hr)

Job Purpose

To operate forklifts safely and efficiently; handle all freight inbound or outbound properly and orderly; maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping; loading/unloading of RJW truck/trailers and outside carriers safely and using proper procedures; ensure all shipments are correctly staged, checked, and loaded properly; be responsible for properly storing stock in the warehouse; perform duties to provide material handling services for warehouse shipping and receiving handling activities.

Work from warehouse operation sheets using a forklift to pick customer orders and load on trailers. Maintain forklift safety at all times following all safety policies and procedures.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist the Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient operation of the warehouse.
• Operate reach truck and/or walkie rider.
• Have general understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment.
• Load and unload RJW truck/trailers safely and efficiently using proper procedures, including outside carriers equipment.
• Be flexible to work 10 to 12 hour shifts when necessary and not afraid of heights.
• Pick and move stock from 1 lb. to 50 lbs. multiple times.
• Ensure all shipments are correctly staged and loaded properly.
• Maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping.
• Process outbound cross‑dock freight as necessary.
• Oversee storing stock properly in the warehouse and move product into the storage racks.
• Work from warehouse operation sheets using a forklift to pick customer orders and load on trailers.
• Record and verify the accuracy of the shipments against the paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments/deliveries.
• Ensure all documentation and paperwork is properly completed.
• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently following all OSHA regulations, RJW safety policies, and procedures.
• Complete daily forklift maintenance inspections.
• Handle all customer products properly and orderly.
• Check deliveries for poor packing, general condition of materials, and free of damage; alert Warehouse Supervisor of any problems, taking pictures if necessary.
• Report all accidents/incidents, damage of stock, or building damage to the Shift Supervisor immediately.
• Spot trailers to maintain efficient yard organization and flow of equipment for the day.
• Maintain access to dock doors both inside and outside the facility, keeping them free of debris or snow.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by manager.

Additional Responsibilities

• Possess a sense of urgency, accountability, and ability to work with limited supervision.
• Understand computers and handheld RF equipment.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Pay attention to detail and maintain quality.
• Have good communication, be clear and concise, and possess problem‑resolution and people skills.
• Be flexible to work overtime when needed and supply coverage to other shifts.
• Have PC skills.
• Have major experience on reach truck or stand‑up forklift/EPJs.
• Experience in building pallets with stock and breaking down stock to fill independent orders.
• Experience in cross‑docking freight process.
• Work in a fast‑paced warehouse.

Qualifications

• 3‑6 months of forklift driving experience in a warehouse using reach truck/stand‑up forklifts and Electric Pallet Jacks.
• Good stable work record.

Education And/or Experience Required

• High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED).
• Warehousing certifications a plus.
