Assistant Quantity Surveyor

GVR Solutions are working with a well-established drylining contractor that specialise in commercial projects across London. They are currently looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team, this is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to develop their career with a respected contractor delivering high-quality interior projects.

The successful candidate will support the commercial team with the management of costs, contracts, and valuations across a range of drylining and fit out schemes. Working alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors, you will gain exposure to all aspects of the commercial function and be provided with ongoing training and career development.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

• Assisting in the preparation of valuations, variations, and final accounts

• Supporting procurement processes and subcontractor management

• Monitoring costs, budgets, and project progress

• Maintaining accurate records and assisting with reporting requirements

• Liaising with project teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved

Requirements of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

• Previous experience in an Assistant QS role within construction (drylining/fit out experience desirable)

• Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying (or working towards)

• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and measurement software

• Eager to learn, with a proactive and professional approach
