Randstad are seeking an experienced and driven Site Manager for an immediate start on a busy water framework contract based around the Romford area.
You will be overseeing operational sites focusing on clean/waste water pipework repairs, excavations, and main laying. This is a fast-paced contract role requiring a hands-on manager who can ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day operations on site, ensuring all pipework repairs and excavations are carried out safely and efficiently.
Supervise direct labor and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and robust risk assessments (RAMS).
Liaise closely with the client, local authorities, and members of the public regarding street works and disruptions.
Maintain accurate site diaries, progress reports, and quality control documentation.
Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following:
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
EUSR Category 1 & 2
* EUSR National Water Hygiene Card (Blue Card)
First Aid at Work (Valid certification)
Proven experience supervising water pipeline installations, repairs, and deep excavations.
Strong knowledge of street works (NRSWA) and utility excavation safety.
Highly Desirable
Previous experience working on a major Water Framework (experience with Thames Water standards and systems is highly advantageous).
