The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Planner to join the pre-construction and project delivery team based in Essex.

Working alongside an established planning team, you will be responsible for producing and managing construction programmes across 3–5 live projects at any one time. The role is primarily office-based, with regular travel to project sites throughout London and the South East to monitor progress and support delivery teams.

Reporting into senior management, you will play a key role in supporting both tender and live project activities, ensuring programmes are realistic, achievable, and effectively monitored throughout the construction lifecycle.

Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Produce and manage tender and construction programmes using ASTA Power project.

* Develop logistics, phasing, and project delivery programmes.

* Monitor project progress, identify risks, and provide programme updates.

* Work closely with commercial, design, and operational teams throughout project delivery.

* Attend site visits and planning meetings to support programme accuracy.

* Assist with delay analysis, extension of time claims, and programme reporting.

* Contribute to project reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and experience (Ideal but not essential):

* Previous experience as a Construction Planner within a main contractor.

* Proficient in ASTA Power project.

* Strong understanding of construction sequencing, buildability, and project delivery.

* Knowledge of construction contracts, programme management, and health & safety requirements.

* Construction-related qualification or equivalent industry experience.

* CIOB or RICS membership would be advantageous.

* Strong communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills
