Position: Mentor (Permanent)
Mentor (Restraint Trained) – ASAP Start – Romford – SEMH School – £90–£130 per day DOE

The Role – Mentor

A specialist SEMH school in Romford is seeking a confident and proactive Mentor to support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis. The successful Mentor will work with students who display challenging behaviour, emotional regulation difficulties, and barriers to learning.

You will provide consistent pastoral support, implement behaviour strategies, and support students in developing coping mechanisms, resilience, and engagement in learning. Restraint training (Team Teach or similar) is essential, as you must be confident managing high-level behaviours safely and professionally.

The School – Mentor

This supportive SEMH school in Romford caters for pupils aged 11–16 who require additional emotional and behavioural support. The school offers small class sizes, a structured environment, and a strong therapeutic approach. Leadership is highly supportive, and staff work collaboratively to ensure pupils feel safe, valued, and understood.
