– The Role

A successful and forward-thinking secondary school in Havering is seeking to appoint an energetic and inspirational Head of Physical Education from September 2026.

As Head of Physical Education, you will:

Lead, manage and inspire the PE department across KS3–KS5
Drive high standards in both practical and theoretical PE at GCSE and A Level
Develop and expand a strong extracurricular and competitive sports programme
Increase student engagement and participation in clubs, fixtures and tournaments
Identify and nurture sporting talent while promoting inclusion and teamwork
Organise sports events, enrichment activities and whole-school competitions
Contribute to wider school leadership and strategic development
