1:1 Teaching Assistant

- The Role

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will provide consistent, tailored support to a pupil with additional needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and engage positively in school life. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement EHCP targets, adapt learning materials, and deliver structured interventions.

The role will involve supporting academic progress, managing emotional regulation, and promoting positive behaviour strategies. You may also assist with sensory breaks, structured routines, and personal care where required. A calm, patient, and proactive approach is essential, alongside strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with both the pupil and their family.
