An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self‑motivated Physiotherapist to join our team of Orthopaedic Therapists and assistants providing rehabilitation to orthopaedic patients. This post will be primarily based in the trauma service at Queens Hospital but may include some cross‑site working at King George's in the elective service.
This post offers a rewarding opportunity for someone looking to consolidate their experience in Orthopaedics and develop their team leadership skills. You will have support to develop your skills in service review, recruitment, audit, and people management at the same time as delivering care to a diverse clinical Orthopaedic caseload and influencing service redesign.
Key responsibilities of the post include professional leadership to the Therapy teams at both sites, developing systems to support team efficiency in line with national guidelines, monitoring quality and provision of exceptional Physiotherapy assessment and care. You will also be required to participate in a 7‑day service.
We are looking for innovative individuals who have exceptional communication and leadership skills. Successful candidates must have relevant clinical background and ability to integrate well into a multidisciplinary working environment.

Main duties of the jobTo provide specialist assessment, treatment and advice to patients within your area of specialty, facilitating and maximising patient potential within the service boundaries.
To give highly specialist guidance to other members of the MDT on matters relating to your specialist area.
Provide leadership for the Physiotherapy team, in conjunction with the Therapy Lead, in planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating the Physiotherapy service provided to patients within your specialist area on a day to day basis.
To provide a lead role in teaching and supporting colleagues in matters relating to specialist area.
To participate in the training of undergraduate Physiotherapists.
To deputise in the absence of senior colleagues as required.
To contribute to the day to day running and development of the service through promotion, adaptation and development of policies, procedures and guidelines using evidence based practice and current research.
