An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 3 Phlebotomist within the Phlebotomy department in our Trust.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Phlebotomist to support the work of our friendly but busy Phlebotomy department based across 2 sites at Queen’s and King George Hospitals. You will join our team as a member of staff in bleeding patients on our ward areas, outpatient area.
We are looking for innovative and enthusiastic Phlebotomist with a passion and willingness to help support both patients and colleagues.
You would be expected to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in the department to achieve a high standard of care, good customer care focus, pleasant and understanding to members of the public. Good/punctual work attendance, Flexible approach to work.
This job would suit a local person with previous experience as a phlebotomist in a healthcare setting.
You should demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail. Satisfactory performance in mathematics and English at secondary school level or equivalent is required. All work will be carried out under the supervision of qualified staff.
Main duties of the jobTo provide safe and efficient phlebotomy services to all hospitals areas and be a part of the very highly skilled phlebotomy team and liaise with laboratory staff.
