Mechanical Shift Technician

Location:

Critical Environment – Romford
Salary: £50,000 – £52,000 + Overtime
Shift Pattern:
Continental (Days & Nights, 7am–7pm / 7pm–7am)
Holiday: 20 Days (Pro Rata)

A leading Facilities Management company is seeking an experienced Mechanical Shift Technician to join their team on a critical environment site in Romford. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established FM provider offering strong earning potential and long-term stability.

The Role

Working a continental shift pattern covering days and nights, you will be responsible for maintaining mechanical plant and building services systems to ensure reliability and uptime across the site.

Key responsibilities include:

* Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)

* Reactive maintenance and fault finding

* Maintenance of HVAC systems, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors, pipework and associated plant

* Ensuring compliance with site procedures and statutory requirements

* Working effectively within a shift team in a critical environment

Package & Benefits

* £50,000 – £52,000 basic salary

* Overtime available and expected (minimum 20 days per year for holiday cover)

* 1.5x Monday to Saturday

* 2.0x Sundays

* Strong earning potential through regular overtime

* Continental shift pattern (7–7)

* Onsite parking

Requirements

* Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent)

* Experience in building services or critical environments

* Strong fault-finding and maintenance skills

* Previous experience within Facilities Management desirable

* Ability to work days and nights on a continental shift pattern
