GLG Vets is seeking an experienced and dedicated Locum Night Vet Surgeon to join a well-established practice in Romford, Essex. This ongoing role provides an exciting opportunity to work night shifts with a flexible pattern of 7 nights on and 14 nights off, offering a competitive daily rate and a great work-life balance. The successful candidate will provide high-quality veterinary care and play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the practice during night shifts.
Start Date: 6th March 2025
Duration: Ongoing
Hours: 7 nights on, 14 nights off
Salary: Competitive daily rate
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality veterinary care during the night shift.
- Perform emergency surgeries and procedures as needed.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all animals in your care.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners and the veterinary team.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Work within the guidelines of the practice's policies and procedures.
- Competitive daily rate.
- Flexible working pattern: 7 nights on, 14 nights off.
- Opportunity to work with a supportive and experienced team.
- Ongoing contract, with the possibility of extension.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A registered veterinary surgeon with experience in emergency and night shift care.
- Confidence in performing emergency surgeries and procedures.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving in high-pressure situations.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
