Covering East London, Essex, Romford, IIford.
Are you passionate about fire safety and protection? Morgan Fire Protection specialises in the delivery of planned and corrective maintenance for fire detection systems and portable extinguishers. While our operational resources are primarily based around London, we proudly offer national coverage through our reactive delivery model.
Pay RangeBase Salary up to £27,000 per annum with commission on all completed works, OTE up to £40,000. Overtime and paid time. Pension, life assurance and more.
Responsibilities- Install, service and maintain portable fire extinguishers.
- Work in line with current British standards and customer requirements.
- Plan and complete call visits within your designated region, ensuring maximum efficiency.
- Build professional and effective relationships with a wide client base.
- Be accountable for ensuring effective area planning to maximize travel time and time on customer premises.
- Carry out scheduled and reactive maintenance in a timely, efficient and cost‑effective manner.
- Effectively communicate with our customers to ensure a good understanding of system/equipment status.
- Liaise with Service Administrators to ensure the needs of our customers are met.
- Be responsible for the management and security of vehicle stock, tools and equipment.
- Carry out full surveys of customer sites to assess for fire equipment and signage.
- Approach all training positively and professionally and complete all duties.
- Travel and some stopovers are expected during the training period and busier months.
- Experience in fire extinguishers servicing; hold a qualification to prove competence and have good knowledge of BS5306 parts 3 and 8.
- Technical background in the mechanical fire industry.
- Experience of front‑line customer service.
- Previous experience of maintaining fire extinguishers is essential.
- Qualified to BAFE/FETA or equivalent, with ongoing refresher training every three years and certificated evidence.
- Ability to work unsupervised with the capability to problem‑solve.
- Flexibility to travel for work and training when required.
- Experience in other mechanical fire systems would be advantageous.
- Must be computer‑literate and conversant with email, Word and Excel; be able to use a PDA, iPad or smartphone.
- Basic knowledge of maths and ability to calculate fire ratings.
- Ability to create quotes and recommendations to send to the customer.
- Full driving licence.
- Basic Salary up to £27,000 per annum, OTE up to £40,000.
- 4% commission on all completed works.
