- Deliver a high-quality social work service to children and families in partnership with statutory and third-sector organisations.
- Undertake child protection enquiries, assessments, and engage with children in care for stable, safe permanent arrangements.
- Ensure timely assessments in line with the Framework and identify levels of risk and need for safeguarding children.
- Implement effective care plans alongside parents and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes for children with protection plans.
- Initiate care proceedings as necessary and formulate comprehensive care plans in collaboration with children, families, and care providers.
- Prepare and present court statements and evidence on behalf of the Local Authority, as needed.
- Maintain and update electronic case records accurately in accordance with organisational policies.
- Undertake responsibility for managing individual caseloads effectively, ensuring optimal use of time and resources.
- Participate actively in supervision, performance appraisals, and team meetings to contribute to service development.
- Support safe working environments, ensuring adherence to Health and Safety legislation and council policies.
