We’re looking for a passionate, experienced and highly organised Packaging Designer who’s an expert on all things packaging and design. This role is all about creating innovative, visually compelling, durable and environmentally considerate packaging, across a large and diverse range of products that stand out in-store and at events.

What You’ll Do
  • Take full ownership of the development of innovative and visually striking packaging that best represents and displays the unique characteristics of each product whilst adhering to brand guidelines, and business direction across a broad range of products.
  • Manage the entire packaging process from brainstorming design ideation, initial concepts, development and sampling through to print processes and bulk production.
  • Technical die-line creation and development with varied packaging materials while executing briefs
  • Provide written briefs for additional teams, photography, copywriting, translations
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Creative, Product Development, Buying, Operations, Logistics, Compliance and Manufacturing, to ensure flawless execution of packaging designs suitable for e-commerce and retail.
  • Considering packaging is fit for purpose, communication, retail price, size and scale, shipping and logistics, usage and compliance
  • Coordinate and build strong relationships with the global supply chain, to ensure packaging finishes, materials and print are cohesive with the business directive and identity.
  • Effectively manage procedures and plan the packaging timeline regarding project launches, using the critical path, NPD data and launch dates
  • Effective at managing multiple projects at any given time
  • Liaise with the Buying team and suppliers on packaging options and costings and analyse all quotes to confirm content that is affordable, functional and durable for purpose.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, consumer preferences and packaging formats, materials and innovations to continually improve designs and infuse fresh ideas
  • Confident identifying problems and making improved suggestions to existing packaging outcomes
  • Attend all relevant project meetings and comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders for packaging approvals and reviews
  • Uphold unwavering attention to detail and maintaining rigorous quality control throughout the process.
  • Support sustainability initiatives and directives by applying knowledge of recyclable materials and regulations.
  • Maintain an organised library of packaging assets and templates
  • Responsible for accurate technical documentation, packaging specifications, RAM reporting and material compliance certificates, for traceability and compliance
  • Support the creative and operations teams with any additional requests

What You’ll Bring
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Packaging Design, Graphic Design, Product Design, or a related field advantageous
  • Proven experience (3–5+ years) in packaging design within a retail, FMCG, or consumer product environment
  • Strong understanding of packaging structures, materials, print processes, and manufacturing methods
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and experience creating technical die-lines and print-ready artwork
  • Excellent eye for design, typography, layout, and brand consistency, with the ability to translate creative concepts into functional packaging solutions
