Location:

Flexible (infrequent travel to Bristol/Birmingham required). Permanent role within the E&B Systems Team.

We are looking for an energetic and dynamic person to join the E&B Systems Team. The role offers opportunity to experience a wide variety of work and develop widely transferable skills. The team focuses on technical digital solutions to address business problems and support major digital transformation. The role will help build and support solutions for staff in their front‑line work.

We require a flexible individual who manages themselves and is able to lead on technical development areas and solutions. The team focuses on regulatory services and technical solutions, supporting the work of the Environment Agency. We also value a dispersed project group environment and inclusivity and equal opportunity.

Team

The team is a dispersed, flexible resource working across digital and business activity areas. We provide digital product development and configuration services, a support service to Operations staff covering business systems and technologies. We contribute to cross‑cutting and high‑risk projects, deliver innovative and integrated outcomes, and connect the business to IT needed to deliver environmental benefits. We provide a critical intelligent client role in digital IT services and operational activities.

Experience

/ Skills Required

• Digital product management or experience as an environment practitioner.
• Comfortable with tools such as Power Platform, SharePoint, DCP (Document Core Pack), Canvas Apps, Microsoft Access and application configuration.
• Skilled in addressing internal and external customer needs.
• Strong understanding of business problems and challenges faced by staff, and able to think innovatively to develop solutions.
• Strong technical skills and ability to convey them to non‑technical clients.
• Skilled in collaborating with customers and developing and sustaining partner relationships.
