The OpportunityWe are looking for a Project Manager to join a high-performing Defence and Technology organisation, supporting the delivery of complex engineering, technology and research projects.
What You'll Be Doing- Supporting the planning and delivery of projects to agreed time, cost and quality objectives.
- Developing project plans, timelines and resource schedules.
- Tracking progress against milestones and highlighting potential risks, issues or delays.
- Supporting resource planning and effective team utilisation.
- Maintaining accurate project documentation, status reports, actions and meeting records.
- Organising and facilitating project meetings, including agendas and follow-up actions.
- Supporting project risk, issue and opportunity management.
- Assisting with budget monitoring and project expenditure.
- Supporting procurement activities and supplier/vendor relationships.
- Working with internal teams, customers, subcontractors and partners.
- Ensuring project documentation and deliverables meet required quality standards.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of project management processes and ways of working.
- Taking ownership of assigned activities and proactively managing priorities.
We are looking for someone with strong organisation, communication and time-management skills, who is comfortable working in a fast-paced technical environment and can make sound decisions when working under pressure.
- Experience supporting or managing projects within engineering, technology, product development, research or consultancy environments.
- A relevant degree and/or equivalent professional experience.
- A recognised project management qualification such as APM, PMI or PRINCE2, or be working towards one.
- Strong planning, coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive, self-managed approach with a strong attention to detail.
- The ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
