Medical Assistant – Certified (MA-C) – Primary Care at Ballard
We are offering a $5,000 Signing Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine.
Full‑time (40 hrs per week), Day Shift.
Located in Ballard, this role provides personalized primary care, supporting patients of all ages.

Job Responsibilities
- Room patients, take vital signs, and reconcile records
- Perform injections
- Prepare and clean exam rooms
- Submit medication prior authorizations
- Recognize symptoms of common medical illnesses and report accurately to provider
- Act as a liaison between patient, family, and providers
- Assist provider with procedures and medical exams
- Perform point‑of‑care testing and report abnormal laboratory values
- Assist in transporting patients as required
- Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES or equivalent
- Must be Washington State Medical Assistant‑Certified or achieve this designation within 6 months of hire; failure to maintain will result in termination
- Valid AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR card
Pay range: $27.18–$38.89 per hour.
Other compensation: $5,000 sign‑on bonus.
