What You'll Be Doing

As an Expedited Logistics Coordinator, you'll help manage time-sensitive shipments from order entry through final delivery
. You'll serve as a key point of communication between customers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams to keep shipments moving and customers informed.

Responsibilities include:

Coordinate and monitor expedited and time-critical shipments from initial order through delivery
Track shipments and ensure important milestones and status updates are completed on time
Communicate with customers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams throughout the shipment process
Provide proactive updates and respond quickly to customer questions or changing needs
Enter and maintain accurate shipment information and documentation
Identify potential delays or service issues and elevate them appropriately
Manage multiple shipments, emails, phone calls, and priorities throughout the day
Respond quickly to new orders and changing shipment requirements
Communicate important shipment details between shifts to ensure continuity
Follow established procedures for order management, tracking, communication, and escalation
Work closely with teammates and leadership to provide a high level of service and maintain on-time performance

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is reliable, energetic, and takes initiative
. You don't necessarily need years of logistics experience to be successful in this position.

Required:

High school diploma or GED
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer service skills and a professional phone presence
Comfortable spending a significant portion of the day communicating by phone
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and follow-through
Ability to stay calm and make good decisions when situations change quickly
Dependable work history and a go-getter mentality

Nice to Have:

1+ year of logistics, transportation, dispatch, freight forwarding, or related experience
Experience coordinating carriers or vendors
Experience with expedited freight, Next Flight Out (NFO), or time-critical shipments
General knowledge of U.S. and international geography

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Romulus, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
