. This position supports manufacturing operations and ensures the accuracy and reliability of gages used in automotive manufacturing.
- Maintain and track all gages used in manufacturing, ensuring they are calibrated and functioning correctly.
- Conduct regular gage calibration and maintain accurate calibration activity records.
- Perform gage correlation studies to ensure consistency and reliability of measurements across different gages.
- Collaborate with quality engineers to ensure gages meet all required standards and specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of gage calibration, maintenance, and correlation studies.
- Troubleshoot issues with gages and measurement devices, ensuring minimal downtime in manufacturing operations.
- Ensure all gages and measurement devices comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of gage management processes.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality technician role, preferably in automotive manufacturing.
- Proficient in using and calibrating various gages and measurement devices.
- Strong understanding of gage correlation studies and quality assurance principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with quality engineers and other team members.
- Relevant certifications in quality assurance or gage calibration are a plus.
- Undergo a background check following local laws and regulations.
- Successfully pass a drug screening.
- Manufacturing plant with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.
- Ability to lift and move gages and equipment as needed.
