Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic/Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Pro Truss and Panel, LLC. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of performing inspections and completing preventive maintenance schedules on semi-trucks and equipment.

Job Duties:

• Perform inspections on semi-trucks and equipment
• Complete preventive maintenance schedules
• Responsible for diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, electrical trouble shooting, steering and cooling systems.
• Perform truck and trailer annual inspections
• Perform repairs such as wiring, lighting, brakes, suspension, and others
• Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
• Maintain vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.
• Keep shop equipment operating by troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Keep supplies and parts ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
• Enhance maintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Maintain a clean organized work area.
• Build positive relationships with truck drivers and vendor contacts

Skills and Requirements:

• Must have 1 year of heavy truck repair experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Deadline and detail oriented
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work in fast paced environment
• Driver's License
• Clean Driving Record
• Skilled in welding
