• Perform inspections on semi‑trucks and equipment.
• Complete preventive maintenance schedules.
• Responsible for diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, electrical troubleshooting, steering and cooling systems.
• Perform truck and trailer annual inspections.
• Perform repairs such as wiring, lighting, brakes, suspension, and others.
• Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
• Maintain vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.
• Keep shop equipment operating by troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
• Keep supplies and parts ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
• Enhance maintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value.
• Maintain a clean organized work area.
• Build positive relationships with truck drivers and vendor contacts.

• Must have 1 year of heavy truck repair experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Deadline and detail oriented.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Drivers License.
• Clean Driving Record.
• Skilled in welding.

Job Type: Full‑time

Schedule:

8‑hour shift, Monday to Friday

Experience:

Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification: CDL (Preferred)
