Class B CDL Driver (Retail Technician)

Clean Harbors, Romulus, MI – Full‑time – Entry level – Management and Manufacturing

Base pay range: $14.00/hr – $34.00/hr

• Ensure health and safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
• Pick up, pack and transport damaged and discarded goods, recalled products, and waste materials.
• Load, pack and segregate materials and waste products for safe transportation.
• Drive a box truck, visiting retail customer sites.
• Interact with customers at each stop.
• Prepare DOT shipping documents and use a laptop, printer, handheld, and iPhone to complete tasks.
• Conduct projects/jobs according to site specific Federal, State and local regulations and health and safety plans, and Clean Harbors policies and procedures.
• Execute jobs at Clean Harbors customer locations, including Fortune 500 companies.
• Control drum count and ensure drums conditions are shippable in accordance with company policies.
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state, and federal requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Valid Class B CDL required.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to use a laptop, handheld, printer, and iPhone are required.
• Eligible to obtain a CDL Class B with hazmat and tanker endorsement within 6 months of hire, company paid.
• Perform physical functions per job requirements.
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical.
• Per OSHA’s Respiratory Protection standard, 29 CFR 1910.34, employees requiring respirators must meet facial hair standards.

• Previous commercial driving experience.
• Previous route experience.
• Previous manual labor experience.
