Shift

Schedule:

* Monday - Friday:
Dependent on route, average 5 days per week.

* Start Times range from: 12:00 am - 3:00 am (dependent on route)

* End Times range from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm (until the route has been completed)

* Routes will not exceed DOT hours.

* Weekend work may be required based on business needs.

* Minimum of 1 overnight (layover) route per week.

Job Purpose and Overview

As a Driver for Dawn Foods, you will support our customers by safely and efficiently transporting product from the distribution center by driving a tractor-trailer to various customers and properly delivering and unloading product according to customer invoices and Dawn team standards.

This opportunity is a full-time and benefits-eligible position.

What Does It Take to be a CDL Class A Driver at Dawn Foods?

Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.

* Class "A" CDL License in good standing

* Minimum of 6 months Class A Commercial driving experience

* Ability to work in the United States

* Must be 21 years of age or older

* Must be able to lift 50+ pounds consistently throughout work shift

* Ability to operate MHE equipment

* Experience delivering into food service accounts is preferred

* Lift-gate, reefer, electric pallet jack and forklift experience helpful

* Computer skills or experience with electronic logs helpful

What will you do as a CDL Class A Driver at Dawn Foods?

* Obey all federal, state, and local rules and regulations of the road including all DOT operating, recording and safe food handling procedures

* Conduct daily face to face interaction with customers, representing Dawn Foods in a friendly, competent, and professional manner

* In a DSD (direct store delivery) setting, break down product and complete shelf stacking at each stop

* Driving and maintaining multi-temp trailers

* Offloading with electric pallet jacks/two wheelers

* Performing pre and post trip vehicle inspections as well as collecting invoice receipts that are generated from the deliveries

* Ability to withstand cool and/or cold temperatures.

* Normal setting for this job is outdoors and/or driving a video/GPS-monitored vehicle.

* Will be exposed to a physical environment, which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, or similar elements most of the workday.

* Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, wheat, and soy.
