Senior BI Developer

Description

A dynamic data and analytics company is seeking an experienced Senior BI Developer to design, develop and optimize end-to-end BI solutions. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise in Power BI, SQL and Azure Synapse with the ability to translate business needs into actionable data insights and scalable BI frameworks.

• Develop and maintain BI solutions across the full lifecycle from data ingestion to dashboards.
• Define BI architecture standards and implement governance best practices.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality BI insights.
• Work with Data Engineering to ensure optimized models and data pipelines.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to BI innovation and improvement.
• Optimize BI performance for large datasets and enhance query efficiency.
• Support leadership with internal reporting and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Research and implement emerging BI technologies and tools to improve data capabilities.

• Bachelors degree in Data Science, Computer Science or related field.
• 7 years BI development experience with proven Power BI and SQL expertise.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Synapse data modelling and ETL / ELT processes.
• Experience with data warehousing semantic models and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with modern BI concepts (lakehouse, Spark, Delta Lake) advantageous.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
