Duties:
- Develop and execute the company's logistics strategy in line with business objectives.
- Lead all warehousing, inventory, transport and distribution operations across multiple locations.
- Drive improvements in productivity, cost efficiency, service levels and operational performance.
- Ensure accurate inventory management and stock integrity through robust warehouse controls.
- Manage third-party logistics providers (3PLs), freight partners and transport contracts.
- Monitor and improve OTIF (On-Time In-Full) delivery performance.
- Establish and report on key logistics KPIs and operational dashboards.
- Identify opportunities for process optimisation.
- Manage compliance with health and safety legislation, company policies and industry best practices.
- Develop warehouse layouts, storage strategies and capacity planning initiatives.
- Lead business continuity planning for logistics operations.
- Drive warehouse automation and technology improvements, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Prepare and manage logistics budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Build, coach and develop high-performing logistics teams.
- Work closely with Sales, Procurement, Finance, Customer Experience and Service departments to ensure seamless order fulfilment.
- Relevant Degree in Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Engineering
- Postgraduate qualification or (MBA will be an advantage)
- At least 5 – 7 years warehouse management experience
- At least 5+ years in a senior management or executive logistics role.
- Proven experience managing large warehouse and distribution operations.
- Experience managing national transport and distribution networks.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen.
- Advanced knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems.
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills;
Power BI experience will be advantageous. - Strong understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse optimisation.
- Demonstrated experience leading organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
