Inspector, Lifting Machinery

• Conduct statutory inspections and certification of lifting machinery and lifting tackle
• Perform proof load testing, commissioning, and acceptance testing
• Diagnose and repair cranes, hoists, winches, jacks, and associated lifting equipment
• Prepare inspection reports, certificates, and compliance documentation
• Participate in digital inspection, mobile application, and IoT development initiatives
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers
• Ensure compliance with OHSA, relevant SANS standards, and company procedures
• Contribute to services support and continuous improvement initiatives
• Perform quality control of lifting machinery and lifting tackle

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Registered Lifting Machinery Inspector (LMI)
• Lifting Tackle Inspection Certificate
• Minimum 5 years' practical experience in the lifting industry
• Valid Driver's Licence (Code B/EB)
• LEEASA Membership
• Trade Qualification
• Minimum LMI scopes:
  Lifting Tackle;
  Chain Hoists & Lever Hoists;
  Overhead Cranes
• Knowledge of lifting machinery and lifting tackle inspections
• Knowledge of load testing and certification
• Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control
• Technical report writing skills
• Root cause analysis
• Digital inspection systems and technology applications
• Customer-focused with strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently or within a teamwork environment
