7:30 A.M. – 4:30 P.M. Monday – Thursday

7:30 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Friday

Overtime may be required occasionally to meet project deadlines.

This position requires on-site, in person attendance.

As a Staff Accountant at North River Boats, you’ll assist the CFO and provide financial accounting and analysis, manage full-cycle payroll, benefits and HR duties. Plus, with our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), you’ll have a direct stake in the company’s success.

• Assist in cash flow planning and back up CFO as needed with daily deposits, reconciliations, etc.
• Multiple special projects as needed for attorney’s, CPA, CFO & President
• Annual reporting on Personal Property Tax Returns
• Analysis and reconciliations of various accounts & month end vendor statements
• HR duties to include onboarding new hires, benefits coordinator
• Perform all other duties as assigned and appropriate to position
• Reconciling workers compensation premium

• Associate’s degree or Equivalent Experience Required
• Must have and exhibit proficiency in accounting principles and techniques
• Must be organized and be able to multitask and take on many projects at one time.
• Must be computer literate, with strong working knowledge of Quick Books and Microsoft Excel.
• Must have working knowledge of payroll & processing, and related laws and applications
• Must have working knowledge of the Company
• Must be organized & accurate
• Must understand the organizational flow chart & follow the chart in all cases when solving problems related to your job or this department.
• Must be able to communicate and work effectively with all levels within the Company, including the President, and outside business partners including the bankers, the CPA, employees and the public

The Staff Accountant is expected to demonstrate professionalism, reliability, accuracy, and accountability in all aspects of the position. Success in this role requires flexibility, initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to balance recurring accounting responsibilities with time-sensitive payroll, HR, and special project requirements.

The employee must be able to collaborate effectively with management, coworkers, and external partners while maintaining accurate records and supporting the company’s financial and administrative operations.
