Campus Teller​/Member Service Representative

Overview

Campus Teller/Member Service Representative at Rogue Credit Union (UCC Campus - Student Branch). Provides Rogue member experiences, processes financial transactions, and identifies suitable products and services to meet members’ personal financial needs. The Campus Teller/MSR role combines Teller and Member Service Representative responsibilities in a college branch setting.

• Assist members with membership and account needs including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, money orders, transfers, wires, notary services, financial education, and guide members through the loan application process. Open new accounts and maintain accurate cash drawer and daily transactions.
• Suggest appropriate products and services; open new memberships including deposit and savings accounts, certificates, IRAs, and trust accounts; take consumer loan applications and coordinate with related departments to serve members.
• Review and analyze members’ financial situations to provide education and solutions; promote member participation and cross-sell Rogue products and services.
• Participate in outreach on the college campus to promote financial education and grow active involvement with the campus branch.
• Provide exceptional service while opening new deposit accounts and consumer loans; maintain confidential member records and files.
• Respond promptly to member requests and stay current on products, services, guidelines, and regulations.
• Perform other duties as needed, including occasional branch floating on Saturdays, holidays, school breaks and days, and assist Senior Campus Teller/MSR as needed.

• Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience.
• Education: High school education or GED. Must be currently enrolled as a student in good standing at the College/University of the student branch location assigned.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to interact with others, confidentiality, diplomacy, and tact in communication.
• Other Skills: Excellent verbal, written and listening communication; needs-based sales ability; good organizational and time management skills; attention to detail; strong computer and 10-key calculator skills; ability to work as part of a team and adapt to Rogue’s culture; creativity and event planning abilities.
• Physical Requirements: Some lifting up to 30 pounds; continuous sitting; occasional standing and walking; finger dexterity for computer work; occasional talking and hearing; vision requirements.
• Work Environment: Normal workday with occasional overtime; potential exposure to robbery; flexible schedule for outreach events and campus-related branches; ability to float to other branches as needed.

• Schedule: Students work 2-3 lunch periods per week in the student branch and 2-3 in-branch shifts;
  Saturday shifts are preferred.
