Engineering Geologist

Salary Range: $6,717 – $10,414/ month

In this on-site role, you will fulfill an essential function monitoring the geologic hazards that impact roadway safety. You will also become part of a team of professionals dedicated to keeping our roadway systems operational and safe for the traveling public.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to work on and support transportation projects across the state, with a focus on the Klamath Mountain geologic province, the Western Cascades and the Oregon Coast Range. The larger Mountain Project Delivery Unit stretches from the Oregon coast through the Coast Range and the Cascades and across the high desert to the Idaho border.

This area includes numerous vital transportation corridors. There will be no shortage of exciting and variable geology work in this role.

A Certified Engineering Geologist (CEG) license from the Oregon State Board of Geologist Examiners.

If registered in another state the successful applicant will be required to obtain professional registration in Oregon within one year of hire. It is the applicant’s responsibility to contact the Oregon State Board of Geologist Examiners for information to become licensed in Oregon.

Driving is an essential function of this position. You must have a valid U.S. driver license and an acceptable driving record. We will conduct pre-employment driving records checks on our final candidate(s). Your license does not have to be issued in Oregon to be considered.
