Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM

• Every other weekend requirement

• Holiday requirement: 1 major and 1 minor holiday

• Patient ratios: 1:3 (maximum 1:4 if medical overflow)

• 20-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in cardiac, respiratory, ETOH withdrawal, and renal failure patients

• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS

• Must have acute care experience with cardiac and respiratory skills

• Responsible for titrating drips including Cardizem, heparin, and amiodarone

• Float assignments primarily to ICU or Med/Surg when needed

• On-call placement for low census only with 45-minute response time if called in

• Work with telemetry monitoring - both monitor techs and RNs read strips

• Support available from nurse aids (1:7 ratio days, 1:11 ratio nights)

• Work with RT equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow nasal cannula

• Charge nurse and house supervisor responsibilities available

• Scrub dress code:
Any color/design except purple for tops, any color except purple for pants

• 2-shift unit orientation provided

• Charting system:
Medi Tech

• BSN not required

• Facility can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

• Oregon license not required at time of submittal - facility can request 90-day emergency license

Adex Job . Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
