We are seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our team! As a Medical Secretary, you will be responsible for greeting patients who come through the door, checking them in, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance benefits, and obtaining authorizations for treatment. You will also answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate place, send or fax documentation to the appropriate offices, and maintain excellent medical and correspondence records, as appropriate.

The ideal candidate is very organized, has strong customer service and interpersonal skills, and works well independently and within a team.

• Greet patients who walk through the door
• Ascertain their needs and get them checked in
• Pull their medical records or take a new patient history
• Answer the phone and schedule appointments or answer patient questions
• Verify insurance benefits

• Maintain comprehensive medical records, as needed

• Strong customer service skills

• Familiarity with basic computer programs, such as the Microsoft Office suite
