Key Responsibilities Assist in surgical procedures and patient care in various specialties, including orthopedics, general surgery, urology, and ENT. Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within the scope of practice. Ensure proper sterile techniques are maintained at all times during surgery. Collaborate with the operative team, including surgeons and nursing staff, to provide exceptional patient care. Participate in room setup, turnover, and other operational duties as directed.
Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and other healthcare staff.
Job Requirements Board Certification:
Required Licensure:
Must have or be willing to obtain an Oregon license.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of PA work experience in orthopedics required. Local Ties:
Preference for candidates with ties to Oregon, such as family or previous residency in the state. Qualifications Strong customer service orientation and ability to work collaboratively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Commitment to ongoing professional development and educational growth. Ability to maintain confidentiality and act independently with minimal supervision. Proficient in basic computer skills.
Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and stretch for prolonged periods. Capacity to lift up to 75 pounds and assist patients in various mobility tasks.
