Position Summary:

Drives sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing and inventory levels, budgeting and forecasting sales, and assessing economic trends and community needs.

• Model, enforce, and provide direction and guidance to Associates on proper Customer/Members service approaches and techniques.
• Oversee the implementation of community outreach programs and encourage Associates to serve as good members of the community.
• Ensure compliance with Company and legal policies, procedures and regulations for the Vision Center, including asset protection, safety controls, operational and quality assurance reviews.
• Develop and implement action plans to improve performance and provide guidance on executing Company programs and strategic initiatives.
• Provide supervision and development opportunities for Associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset.
• Consult with and educate Customers, selecting products based on Member/Customer needs, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidential information, performing minor frame repair, and maintaining Optical equipment.
• Uphold the Company's Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, listening to concerns, researching issues, reviewing Company policies and procedures, and suggesting resolutions.
• Coordinate and oversee job‑related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs.
• Build high‑performing teams, embrace differences, create a workplace where associates feel seen, supported and connected, and foster a culture of belonging.
• Act with integrity, maintain the highest standards of ethics and compliance, and support Walmart's goal of becoming a regenerative company.
• Deliver results while putting the customer first, consider how, where and when customers shop, and apply the EDLP and EDLC business models.
• Make decisions based on data insights and analysis, balance short‑ and long‑term priorities, and consider all stakeholders when making plans.
• Drive continuous improvements, adopt new technologies and skills, and support others through change.

Base pay range: $33.00/hr – $43.00/hr (hourly wage range for this position is $33.50 – $43.50). The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and may include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) based on location.

• Minimum Qualifications:
  
  Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience.
  High school diploma or equivalent.
  Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Experience supervising Associates.
