Med Star Health is looking for an Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team! This PRN position requires a registered Radiology Technologist with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work independently.
As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will assist interventional radiologists in the performance of complex diagnostic and therapeutic angiographic procedures. You will provide patient care as needed and document medical procedures, assisting in delivering efficient and effective patient care.
Primary Duties- Performs and/or assists in all angiographic and interventional imaging procedures, including myelography, arthrography, and venography. Prepares and positions patients and operates or monitors imaging devices during procedures, utilizing immobilization devices and radiation protective measures.
- Evaluates radiographs for technical accuracy and quality, ensuring studies are properly identified and filed.
- Verifies the procedure(s) performed as indicated by the physician on the superbill.
- Utilizes physical assessment skills, monitors devices (pulse, respiration, blood pressure, EKG), provides intravenous care, and follows aseptic techniques to provide patient care.
- Completes required quality control and assurance records, summarizes services rendered for statistical reports, ensures supply levels in the procedure rooms are adequate, and notifies the appropriate person for stock replenishment. Takes call on a rotating basis for after‑hours/weekend coverage.
- Associate degree or at least 1 year of formal training in an AMA‑approved program in Radiologic Technology.
- Minimum 4 months of job‑related experience in performing angiography and other complex radiological examinations.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) examination and certification.
The position has a hiring range of USD $35.68 - USD $58.84 per hour.
