Physician Assistant
Join Med Star Franklin Square Medical Center's neuroscience team as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP). This unique hybrid role allows you to work across both neurosurgery and neuroendovascular services, providing you with diverse procedural experiences including OR first-assisting, IR suite procedures, bedside interventions, inpatient care, and outpatient clinic responsibilities.
We welcome both new graduates and experienced APPs to apply. A structured mentorship and onboarding program is designed to ensure a successful transition into your role, regardless of your prior experience.
Responsibilities:- Assist in the OR for spine and cranial procedures
- Support in the Neurovascular IR suite, including thrombectomies and diagnostic and interventional spinal and cerebral angiograms
- Perform bedside procedures such as EVD and SEPS placement
- Round on inpatient post-operative patients
- Conduct ED and inpatient consultations
- Manage outpatient clinic visits
Monday to Friday with rotating weekend shifts, totaling 40 hours per week.
Qualifications:- Must hold current certification/licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Nurse Practitioners are required to have RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assistant) certification
- Prior experience in neuroscience or as a first assistant is beneficial but not mandatory
- Experience with a wide range of procedures and care settings
